Start watching for new poems to appear on C-Tran buses
This season is exciting for many reasons. Of course the poems are varied and surprising and thought provoking. Every bus has 2 poems on overhead channel cards and since every bus takes a different route each day it doesn’t take long to read all the poems if you are a regular rider. Congratulations to Season 12 poets:

Teresa Anderson: Last Dance
Sossity Chiricuzio: Lessons I’m learning From My Garden
Genevieve DeGuzman: Shape Shift
Betty Fullard-Leo: Transient Ambitions
Julianne Hudson: Backyard Observances
Jody Katopothis: Friendship
Dvora Robinson: Powell Butte
Raúl Sánchez, City of Redmond Poet Laureate 2019-2021: Longing
Monka Spykerman: Octopus
Anand Tawker, Avian Guru

Thank you Raúl Sánchez!
Nine poems were chosen by this season’s esteemed juror, poet Raúl Sánchez, Poet Laureate for the City of Redmond, Washington (2019-21). He provided a tenth poem, Longing, to complete this season’s collection of ten poems. Sánchez is the author of two books of poetry When There Were No Borders (2021, Flowersong Press) and All Our Brown-Skinned Angels (2012, MoonPath Press).
