Project Description

David Collier

What inspires art to be created? Where does the motivation come from? I have no idea how it pops into my head. When pinching clay, grinding glass, focusing a lens, spreading paint, carving wood or welding steel, I am overwhelmed with inspiration that motivates me. To create my art I use no special tools or techniques. I use that which has been the norm for years and available to all artists. I define my art work as contemporary-modern with a flare for abstraction. I try to stay away from anything created by man or nature and journey into the unknown of something bold and unique. I am a self-taught artist with a strong desire to produce art. Once my inspiration become reality in the form of an object of art, I hope it will add a meaningful accent to any chosen setting and be appreciated by those who understand the joy of art.
