I’ve been a glass fusing artist/teacher for 20 years and I am still amazed how awesome it is when the glass flows together in the fusing process and how exciting it is to create unique designs that have an “energy” of swirls, textures, patterns, sharp edges and gentle curves. I especially love working with reactive glass to see the change of colors that result in a “Wow” moment. My passion for fused glass began with window art using vintage windows and has evolved into the creation of both functional items and display art creations. For several years, I’ve been incorporating a variety of glass-fusing techniques: pot melts, crackle, framed fused art, yard art and dichroic jewelry. And, I still am inspired to make window art, especially in beach, water and nature scenes. In addition to making original glass art pieces, I conduct classes in my home studio where people can come together to learn and share the joy of glass fusing with the next generation of glass artists.
