My work is primarily in portraiture. I work in oil and pencil with an old master’s approach to figurative realism. I studied painting with Russian master, Leonid Gervits and each year study with masters around the country including, David Leffel, Daniel Greene, Jeremy Lipking, David Kassan, Jeff Hein, Quang Ho, Tina Garrett and Robert Liberace. My work is in collections across the country, I am represented in South Carolina and Texas. I am known for being able to capture a likeness in both physicality and spirit and with my clients I guarantee the likeness and their delight with their painting or they can’t have it. I love what I do and the people I do it with. I am blessed to be able to work at something that is a constant challenge and source of joy. After renting studio space in the Pearl in Portland for 16 years, I built a beautiful studio on my property in Vancouver with a panoramic view of the Columbia River, surrounded by 80 ft. Doug Fir trees.
