More often than not, I am drawn to explore the visual boundaries between the natural world and geometry. We move through space and time but how much of this bizarre phenomenon are we processing and how to translate this into art? This challenge is well beyond my depth but I do find it satisfying and the tension created between the free form and the hard edge can be interesting, at times dramatic and to my eyes strangely seductive. These cold geometries, lines and structural complexities also seem to contain an oblique relevance as our species evolves towards a future without ‘nature’ as we know it.
Besides being an artist, my career has been in architectural and interior design which has influenced how I approach style, form, color and composition.
