Project Description
Liz Pike
Liz Pike is inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the lush gardens at her organic Shangri-La Farm. Her latest works in oils on canvas include new pastel florals, tree forests and Mt. Hood paintings in addition to her typical bold crimsons with umber on the palette as she paints her popular sunflowers. With sunflowers, she loves the colors and finds them most appealing as they face the earth in their advanced stages. She seeks to portray in her work; that there is grace and beauty in the aging process of all things living. Liz recently opened Pike Art Gallery in downtown Camas at 302 NE Sixth Avenue. She also enjoys sharing her work with the public at several summer art festivals which showcase original art. Liz is the founder of Camas First Friday Art Walk and the Fern Prairie ART Fest. She also teaches classes in oils on canvas several times a month at ART FARM, located on her property.
