Project Description
Connie Ford
My inspiration comes from nature as I continually gather materials for my fiber arts. I enjoy exploring the Washington coast for driftwood, rocks, seaweed, and anything else I may want to add to my artwork. My yard also provides a multitude of gifts: wisteria, several varieties of willow, barks, applewood, dandelions, and many vines.
While basketry is my primary art activity, I also weave on rocks, make brooms, and work with other fibers such as wool and silk.
I have a deep appreciation for my mentors and artist friends who have inspired me over the past twenty plus years. I’m so grateful for a life enriched by art.
