Nature is beautiful. Animals are interesting. Recycling shows that all used items are not waste. My creatures try and combine these ideas, along with some humor. Whimsical sculptures of animals are created from recycled mixed metals: some include used glass or ceramics, some include driftwood, some fly, and some sit atop stakes. From bugs to free standing horses, metal is combined with nuts, bolts, wire, and screws. I grew up with homes containing taxidermy, but my heads and birds are washable. I am not a painter, so colors come from the metal pieces. Ideas come from what I see, sometimes from nature shows.
